What is your engagement story?
“Merv surprised me at work one day, (I was shocked because I worked about an hour away from him in Philadelphia, Pa) and took me home, it was pouring the whole way home and I was delighted because there is nothing more romantic then the sound of rain. When we got to his house, he had wine and chocolate on the table for us. We chatted a little and hung out and after a few minutes he asked me to dance. So we danced, and half way through the song he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. The thought still gives me chills until this day. I kept asking him, Are you sure? I couldn’t believe it. Of course I said yes! We booked our honeymoon for Israel, and planned our wedding for two months later.”
What location did you choose to get married? What made you choose this venue?
“We got married in a lovely church, and had our reception at a local park. The main thing that was important to me about the venue was that the acoustics would be good. Music has always been important to me, and I wanted my wedding music to be perfect. The church that we chose made the music sound extra amazing.”
How did you choose your wedding gown?
“I had looked and looked for a wedding gown, and was so tired of seeing lace and poof and bows and such. Everyone thought I was crazy for ordering my wedding dress online. But I had ordered from JJ’s house before and was beyond happy with the result. So I found a dress that was perfect for what I wanted. Simple and Elegant.”
How did you feel in your dress?
“I never felt so beautiful. It was like a dream come true.”
What made you choose JJsHouse?
“I had ordered from JJ’s house before and I knew what beautiful good quality dresses they have.”
What was your favorite moment of the day?
“Before I walked down, I watched everything hidden in the back, I couldn’t believe so many people showed up to celebrate me and my husband. The music was perfect, Merv looked amazing as he ushered our moms and grandmothers down the isle. I was so excited to marry him.”

“Fun. Romantic. Beautiful”
What’s your best tip for dressing for the big day to share with other brides?
“As far as dressing for the day, wear what you feel most like yourself in, what you feel the most beautiful in. Don’t do what should be done, or what everyone is telling you to do, do what feels right to you! Thanks again JJ’s house!”
