2.When is the wedding day?
We were married on May 11, 2019. We chose this date to make our destination wedding and honeymoon even more special to incorporate his 60th birthday (May 8) and my 59th birthday (May 14). We arrived in St. Lucia on May 7 and returned home on the 14th and in between those we chose our very special day – May 11. I’d say that May will always be our most favorite month of the year! 
3.How did you choose your wedding dress or bridesmaid dress? What’s the ID of your dress?
Choosing this dress came after making many visits to bridal shops and boutiques and even selected and ordered one from a local bridal shop. Several weeks after placing the order, I saw “the one” on JJ’s website. It was exactly what I was looking for but couldn’t find in my physical search. Even though I couldn’t stop my order with the local shop, I ordered from JJ’s and never even contemplated wearing the original dress. Dress #56982 was beautiful quality, color and style and perfectly complimented our tropical outdoor venue with a touch of elegance that I wanted.
4.How did you feel in your dress?
Even though this wasn’t the first marriage for both of us, we had many conversations about how we wanted to feel during our outdoor, Caribbean wedding. We wanted to be very comfortable, but wanted to select attire that wasn’t just comfortable, but something that would make us feel special on the best day of our lives. I think he looked most handsome, and I felt like a queen for a day!
5.What made you choose JJsHouse?
See answer #3! I actually saw several dresses that I loved, but the one I chose was most perfect!
6.What was your favorite moment of that day?
My favorite moment of the day was the second the officiant declared us as “husband and wife” and immediately following that – our first dance. This was a private ceremony for just the two of us, no family or friends along for the occasion. Our wedding coordinator at the resort was our witness, along with the photographer and officiant. Connie and I met in high school and I was in love with him then, but didn’t think I’d ever have a chance. Forty-two years later, it happened. This was my Cinderella day! (just a tidbit for you Lena…during our ceremony on a small, covered, pier-like structure over the Caribbean, Connie reached for my ring from the officiant. He dropped it and it rolled (for what seemed like an eternity) and stopped just inches from falling into the Caribbean! A story that the wedding coordinator said she would never forget! And we won’t either! The photographer said he wished that he had the foresight to capture it in photos, but I’m sure he was as frozen in fear as we were! Needless to say, we were all relieved when that ring went on my finger!

8.What’s your best tip for dressing on the Big Day to share with other brides or bridesmaids?
Go with your gut feeling. I think every bride envisions how their dress will look and feel. You’ll find it, even if it takes a while. Try JJ’s House! I guarantee you’ll find what you’re looking for!
